Pragmatic Marketing Instructor

Pragmatic Marketing is the leading authority on product management and marketing. We train technology companies around the world on how to build products people want to buy and how to market them effectively. We’ve trained more than 100,000 people to date, and we’re just getting started. But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.

You’ve walked the walk. We pride ourselves on the fact that our instructors all have experience leading product and marketing teams at technology companies. We call it VP-level experience, but the title isn’t important; the fact that you’ve led teams, set strategic direction and have the scar tissue to prove it is.

You’ve got a Framework tattoo. Okay, maybe you haven’t gone that far. But you’ve attended our courses, drank the Kool-Aid and implemented our approach within your own teams. The success of the implementation may vary, but the fact you’ve got real world experience doing it cannot.

The microphone is your friend. If the thought of public speaking makes you break out into a cold sweat, this is not the job for you. If on the other hand, standing in front of a different crowd every day and teaching them how to succeed sounds like an adrenaline rush, keep reading.

You know the best restaurant in every airport. The thing about a true global client base is that it requires true global travel. You must be willing to travel about 75% of the year (not a typo) and live near a major airport hub to make this work.

In short, this is not a job for everyone. But for a few, it’s not just a job, it’s a passion. If this sounds like you, click here to submit your resume. While we don't currently have an opening, we'll keep your resume on file.

Pragmatic Marketing has been named a Phoenix Business Journal’s 2013 Best Places to Work in the Valley; honored seven times by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in America; and also named a Comerica Bank Arizona Company to Watch.

Administrative Assistant

Pragmatic Marketing is the leading authority on product management and marketing. Each year our logistics department plans and organizes more than 300 domestic and international training events that showcase to entrepreneurs and businesses how to build and market successful products.  And our volume is continuing to grow!

That’s where you come in.  We’re looking to add a hard-working, fun-loving administrative assistant to complete our post-event processing and serve as a point person for our globetrotting instructors. If you have executive-level administrative support experience and enjoy working with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment, this is the spot for you.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

You are a team player. We have an employee focused environment with a roll up your sleeves attitude and so do you. The words “that’s not part of my job description” would never cross your lips. You are eager to learn and try new things.

You are tactful and diplomatic. You can be charming and personable but know how to disengage to focus on the task at hand. And as a consummate professional and people person, you understand the importance of a smile, especially on the phone.

You think on your feet. You’re a self-sufficient worker who comes prepared with a Plan B. But you also know how to ask for help if things get real.

You are detail-oriented. You are able to process information accurately and always double check your work. The smallest detail does not go unnoticed.

What will you do all day?

  • Compare and correct, as needed, daily attendee rosters for company events.
  • Manually input test scores, as needed, for tests that did not interface to the event management system.
  • Verify, or clarify, as needed, attendee alumni status to access available resources.

  • Prepare, review and submit expense reports for the instructor team.
  • Be the point of contact for instructors and their families, creating a community network among the team.
This includes assisting with assignments of a personal nature (doctor appointments, personal vacation planner, making dinner reservations, etc.) and updating, as needed, instructor profiles that include special requests, dietary needs, preferences and reward program information.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

What skills do you need to shine?

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in an administrative support or customer service role(s).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and also work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess outstanding organizational and time management skills.
