5,000th Person Becomes Pragmatic Marketing Certified

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 29, 2007–Pragmatic Marketing®, the standard for technology product management and marketing, reached a landmark this month when Tim Smith, a Product Manager for NetQoS® Inc., became the 5,000th person to pass the Pragmatic Marketing Certified test.

NetQoS, based in Austin, TX, develops software to manage network performance for the Global 4,000 and sends all product managers to Pragmatic Marketing training. Said Tim, "As a team, we follow industry best practices, which includes learning the Pragmatic Marketing Framework. The seminar taught me how to prioritize my time and how to actually do the nuts-and-bolts steps of market-focused product management in order to attain the greatest impact on my product's success. Becoming Pragmatic Marketing Certified is visible recognition that I have been trained in the best way to conduct technology product management. I look forward to applying what I learned in the seminar to my role at NetQoS."

Recognized throughout the industry, Pragmatic Marketing training and certification is regularly seen as a job requirement for product management and marketing positions in technology companies.

"In just 2 years, Pragmatic Marketing Certified has clearly become the standard companies look for when hiring product managers and marketers. Search any of the major online job boards for 'Pragmatic Marketing' and you are likely to find a list of open positions with top technology companies looking to hire those who have been trained and certified by us" said Craig Stull, CEO of Pragmatic Marketing. "We created the Pragmatic Marketing Certified program in 2005 as a way for our seminar attendees to demonstrate their knowledge of the Pragmatic Marketing Framework and the principles of market-driven product management. Today, we see it regularly in resumes and professional networking site profiles."
